This free, open workshop brings together Art Historian Sara Riccardi and Intimacy Coach Alison Pilling in an exchange on how art has historically engaged with issues of intimacy and sexuality and its relevancy today.
Sara Riccardi will respond to the Whitworth Collection with a talk that questions the role of art in representing themes of love, desire, sex and consent.
In a practical workshop, Alison Pilling will discuss the latest ideas around consent and touch in the sex education community and invites you to consider how you can develop consenting, satisfying relationships. Alison has trained with the leading pioneering sex educators in the world and will share practical tips on creating meaningful connections.
If you’re fascinated and slightly confused by relationships and curious about what art offers to guide us through, this evening promises a thought-provoking experience.
